Along with my wife Pat we bought our first Afghan Hound (a bitch with Bondor and Ranjitsinji of Jagai bloodlines) in 1975, and started showing in the following year.

We have shared our lives with just ten Afghans in the 30 years since then. Probably the best known of these being UK & Ir. Ch. Ratheeli Jadu, who was a Crufts Best of Breed winner.

I first judged at Open Show level in 1984, and over the following ten years I judged 445 dogs at 17 shows at this level, which included four breed club shows.

I first awarded CC’s (bitches) in 1996 at the Hound Association of Scotland Ch. Show. I have since judged both sexes at both Paignton in 1997, and the City of Birmingham in 2005.

My next invitation is at the Queensland Afghan Hound Club Show in June 2006, and in 2007 I judged the dogs at the Midland Afghan Hound Club Show.
