Back in 1974 I aquired my first Show Afghan Hound from Hazel Cranham (Zanavars Afghans) His name was Zanavars Kochis at Shikarah. I was so lucky to have started with this dog, of course he had his faults, but he was an honest example of the breed and gave me his all. I made him up to become a Spanish and Portugues Champion and won a couple of All Breed BIS along the way. He is behind most of my stock today and sired three Champions for me.

My prefix ’Shikarah’ was bought in the UK in 1976 before moving to Spain and it is also registered with the FCI.

Only having bred litters when I need to carry on the lines, I have, over the last 31 years bred and or owned 16 Champions and several which were pointed, many of which are Multiple BOB, Group and BIS winners. I have had the honour to have won BIS at the Spanish Afghan Hound Club Show on three occasiones , all with dogs bred and or owned by me. I also breed very occasionaly Salukis, and hope to get back into Whippets shortly.

I am an approved judge for the Groups 9 and 10 (FCI and RSCE) also Yorkshire Terriers, of which I have been acting secretary of the C.E.Y.T for the past 16 years.

I have been lucky to have been invited to most of the TOP International Shows throughout the world and I always feel deeply honoured to have had the opportunity to judge other peoples dogs, as I know the great deal of work that goes into preparing ones dogs for the ring.

I have judged many specials and club shows and have judged in the following countries:
Uk, Ireland, Spain, Portugal, Finland, Sweden, Norway, Slovenia, Germany, France, Denmark, Italy.

Leeds, Bath, Richmond, East of England, Scottish Hound Show.
